    Alumni reunions held across Asia

    Alumni reunions held across Asia

Hundreds of UTS alumni - new graduates and graduates from years' past - reunited at events throughout Asia in July to hear from some outstanding speakers, mingle with UTS Executive Staff and socialise with their fellow alumni.

In Hong Kong on Friday 3 July, close to 100 alumni, staff and guests gathered at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, overlooking the pool and magnificent skyline. The Australian wine tasting was a highlight and special thanks goes out to George Cheung, Managing Partner at Reisner, who flew all the way from Beijing to speak at our event about the power and value of network relationships.

More than 100 alumni gathered at the Diamond Room at the Westin Bund Centre Shanghai on Tuesday 7 July at a cocktail-style event where Andrew Whitford, President Westpac China, spoke about dealing with change in the workplace and the need to adapt and change with it.

Close to 50 Alumni reunited on level 15 of The Capital Club in Beijing's Chao Yang District on Friday 10 July for an intimate reunion over cocktails and canapés. Special guests were Iain Watt, Minister Counsellor (Education) Beijing, Australian Embassy and alumnus George Cheung.

Saturday 11 July in Kuala Lumpur, more than 110 alumni, staff and guests gathered at the Hotel Nikko to enjoy an international buffet menu where they met their new Alumni Network President, Shanker Joyrama.

Thank you to all alumni who attended the reunions and congratulations to the many prize winners at each of the events (winners are listed below). We wish you all the best and look forward to hearing about how you are progressing in your respective careers. There will be more alumni events coming shortly, so stay tuned to our home page for event updates.
